Quick start for the XROS 3 with clear steps, airflow tuning, pod choices, and simple fixes.
The XROS 3 kit includes the device, a 0.6 Ω mesh pod (pre-installed), a 1.0 Ω mesh pod in the box, a USB-C cable, and a quick guide. Pods hold 2 ml of e-liquid. The body has a power button, airflow slider, LED indicator, and a USB-C port. The mouthpiece pops off for filling. Battery capacity is 1000 mAh.
Plug the device into a 5V/1A USB-C charger before your first session. The LED “breathes” while charging and turns solid green when full. The LED shows battery after a puff: green about 70–100 percent, blue about 30–70 percent, red under 30 percent.
Click the button 5 times fast to turn the device on or off. You can vape by pressing the button or by just inhaling. The LED glows while you puff. If nothing happens, check that it is on and the pod is fully clicked in.
On the back you’ll see a small slider. Move it toward tight for an MTL draw that feels closer to a cigarette. Move it toward loose for a more open pull. Tiny changes make a clear difference, so test a few puffs and adjust.
The kit gives you two mesh pods with built-in coils: 0.6 Ω and 1.0 Ω. As a simple rule, 0.6 Ω feels warmer and a bit airier, good for lower nicotine. 1.0 Ω feels cooler and tighter, good for higher nicotine and classic MTL.
The XROS series also has other pod options like 0.8 Ω and 1.2 Ω if you want to fine-tune your draw later.
Safety cutoffs protect the device. For short-circuit, low voltage, or 8-second over-puff, the LED flashes and the device stops until the fault clears.
Retail e-liquids in Canada are capped at a maximum of 20 mg/mL nicotine. If you are moving from disposables, start with a level that feels similar, then step down slowly if that is your goal.
For a smooth MTL draw with less throat hit, use salt nic in the 10–20 mg range and the 1.0 Ω pod. For a warmer puff with a bit more airflow, try lower nicotine — for example 3–12 mg — in the 0.6 Ω pod. Adjust to taste and comfort.
The XROS line has leak-resistant design, but any pod can seep if it is overfilled, overheated, or the cotton is dry.
No vapor at all — Make sure the device is on, the pod is fully clicked in, and the battery is charged. Try both button-fire and auto-draw. If it still fails, swap to the spare pod to rule out a dud.
Burnt taste — This happens when cotton is dry or power is too high for the wicking. Take shorter puffs for the first few hits on a new pod, keep the pod topped up, and let it rest between pulls.
Gurgle or spitback — A few gentle primer puffs with the device off can clear flooding. You can also flick the pod downward into a tissue to move extra liquid out of the chimney.
Weak flavor — Close the airflow a little for a tighter draw, try the other pod resistance, or use a fresher pod. If you vape outdoors in winter, keep the device warm in a pocket between puffs.
Leaking at the mouthpiece — Re-seat the cap firmly after filling and leave a small air gap at the top of the pod. Overfilling is a common cause.
This clamshell top-fill works well for on-the-go refills once you get the hang of it.
Pods like the XROS 3 usually shine with balanced PG/VG blends that wick fast. Fruit, mint, and lighter dessert profiles give clear taste at low to mid power. If you want a bold, warm puff, pair the 0.6 Ω pod with a slightly thicker blend and a fuller flavor. If you want a calm, crisp draw, the 1.0 Ω pod with a cooler flavor works well. Try one cool and one warm flavor so you don’t get bored.
Swap the pod when flavor drops, the draw feels tight even after cleaning, or the taste turns dull or burnt. Many people get several refills per pod, but life varies with sweetness, power, and puff length. Keep one sealed spare in your bag.
Stores in Alberta do not sell vape products to anyone under 18. Bring valid ID for in-store and delivery orders.
Vaping products may contain nicotine. Nicotine is addictive. Keep devices and bottles away from children and pets. Recycle batteries and pods at the correct drop-off when possible.
Can I use 0.8 Ω or 1.2 Ω pods? Yes. If you want a tighter draw and cooler vape, try 1.2 Ω. For a bit more warmth, try 0.8 Ω. Make sure you buy XROS series pods.
Can I turn off the button and use only auto-draw? The device supports both modes. Turn the device off when you carry it to avoid pocket presses.
How long to wait after refilling? For a brand-new pod, wait 5 minutes. For a refill on an already used pod, you can vape right away unless the cotton looks dry.
Note: Retail bottles and prefilled pods in Canada are capped at 20 mg/mL nicotine.
